Nationwide Accountants and Advisers is an integrated professional services firm offering taxation, accounting, business advisory, mortgage broking, self-managed superannuation fund (SMSF) administration, and financial planning services.

Our registered office is located at Suite 7 / 28 Goodall Parade, Mawson Lakes SA 5095.

We are registered tax agents with the Tax Practitioners Board. Our mortgage broking services are provided by a licensed credit representative. Our financial planning services are provided by an appropriately licensed financial adviser under an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL).

2. What Personal Information We Collect

We collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for us to provide our services. This may include:

  • Tax File Number (TFN) and Australian Business Number (ABN)

We do not use your Tax File Number for any purpose other than those permitted under the Tax File Number Guidelines made under the Privacy Act.

  • Australian Taxation Office (ATO) — for lodgement and compliance purposes
  • Lenders and credit providers — for the purpose of assessing and processing loan applications
  • ASIC and APRA — as required for SMSF and financial services compliance

  • Insurance providers — where financial planning advice involves insurance recommendations
  • Cloud accounting and practice management software providers — who are bound by their own privacy obligations

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

Some of the software and cloud platforms we use may store data on servers located overseas (including the United States and other jurisdictions). Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure those providers comply with standards consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.

This includes retention periods specified by the ATO, ASIC, the Tax Practitioners Board, and applicable state and federal legislation. Generally, client records are retained for a minimum of 7 years.
